Challenges as a teacher

Many schools within the UK, now have between 25 and 35 children in a class and with such a wide range of abilities it can be hard to teach everyone exactly what they need to know to improve their education and to help them pass their exams.
Speaking to a number of teachers, they have stressed the affect high class numbers has on an individual pupil’s learning and many of them strongly believe that more classroom help is needed in schools where class numbers are so large.
Most classes with have a TA (Teaching Assistant) but if the TA is having to spend time with one or two pupils, then the rest of the class is under the supervision of the teacher. This can be extreme challenging for many teachers and often contributes to the high percentage of teachers leaving the profession within their first year as a qualified teacher.
